Privacy policy
Effective October 2, 2026. Keeuc is operated by Techies Lab.
Photos and videos
The iPhone app edits photos and videos on your device where possible. If an effect needs our server, the selected photo is transmitted for processing and its temporary files are deleted when processing finishes. On servers with upload archiving enabled, we keep a private JPEG copy of each image uploaded for processing, resized to a maximum of 1440 pixels on its longest side, with embedded metadata such as GPS removed. Explicitly uploaded video still frames are archived in the same way; full videos are not archived. The iPhone app automatically keeps camera photos and videos, their previews and editing settings in My keeucs on your device. Your local library, videos, previews and saved cards remain on your device; uploaded images may also have the private archive copy described above. New cloud photo saving and server browser-handoff photo drafts are disabled, including when you are signed in. The website keeps editing drafts in the current browser on your device; switching browsers requires selecting the photo again. Existing cloud photos remain accessible to their owner. You can delete an individual keeuc or your account.
The web version sends selected photos to our server to create effects. Moving a draft into another browser temporarily stores its photo and editing settings for up to two hours. Only its secure link can resume the draft. Anyone with an unused link can claim it, so keep the link private.
Your account and rewards
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your account identifier, email address, and the name or profile image you choose to share. These are used for sign-in, your profile, private saved keeucs, support and account recovery. We also keep essential records of saved cards, check-ins, invite rewards, surveys and notification subscriptions so these features work across devices.
Optional analytics and photo location
Usage analytics and diagnostic reports are off by default in the current app and web version. You can change your choice in Profile → Privacy. If you enable analytics, we record feature interactions, an anonymous browser identifier, account identifier when signed in, app/device information, performance timings and error diagnostics. A country code may be estimated from your network address. Captions, photo contents and precise photo coordinates are excluded from analytics.
Photo location lookup is separately optional and off by default. If enabled, the selected photo's coordinates are sent to Keeuc to look up a city using an offline database and are immediately discarded. The city text is retained only if you save it as part of a keeuc. The app does not request your device's current location, and you can type a place without enabling photo location.
Permissions and notifications
You choose photos through the system photo picker. Camera access is used when you take a photo or silent video. Add-only Photos access saves an export to your device. Notifications are optional: when enabled, Apple receives a device push token and Keeuc stores it with your account to deliver reminders and announcements. You can turn reminders off in the app and disable notifications in iOS Settings.
Feedback, service providers and security
Feedback and survey responses you choose to send are stored with your account or anonymous browser identifier; an account email is used to follow up. Hosting, Supabase account and database services, Supabase or Cloudflare R2 storage, Apple sign-in and push services, and Google sign-in process information needed to provide Keeuc. These providers may process data outside your country. Keeuc does not sell personal information, use advertising trackers, or share your photos for third-party advertising or AI model training.
Traffic uses HTTPS. Cloud photos are private and authenticated requests enforce ownership. First-party cookies or Keychain storage maintain your session; local settings remember privacy choices and editing preferences. Operational server logs are used to maintain security and availability and are rotated with bounded storage.
Retention and deletion
Account information, private saved keeucs and essential account records are retained while your account exists. Optional analytics and diagnostic records are removed after 90 days. Anonymous support messages are removed after 90 days. Legacy browser handoff drafts expire after two hours; new server photo drafts are disabled. Legacy archived photos are removed when their linked account is deleted; contact us for assistance with older anonymous uploads.
In the iPhone app, open Profile → Delete account, verify the same Apple or Google account, and confirm deletion. This permanently removes your profile, private cloud photos, this account’s captures on the current iPhone, saved cards, feedback and account records and invalidates old Keeuc sessions. Apple accounts are also disconnected from Sign in with Apple. We retain only a hashed deleted-account identifier for up to 366 days to prevent old sessions from recreating data. Files already exported to your own Photos library remain under your control. If deletion cannot finish because a service is unavailable, the app reports the error and lets you retry.
You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your information through Keeuc support. Include the account email or relevant draft details so we can verify ownership; never send your password or Apple key.
